Who we are

We are former pediatric nurses, transplant coordinators, support staff, and caregivers.
We are people who know what it feels like to show up every day for someone else’s worst day.
We are people who carried the weight of that work home and didn’t always know how to put it down.

Reciprocity KC is a community-based initiative created by and for healthcare workers navigating the long-term impact of burnout, trauma, and compassion fatigue.

Born from firsthand experience in pediatric hematology, oncology, and transplant care, our offering grew out of a deep need for healing tools that are grounded, accessible, and trauma-informed.

What we do

We offer somatic-based, beginner-friendly movement experiences - pop-up yoga, somatic practices, and moments of stillness - created with healthcare workers in mind.

These gatherings aren’t about flexibility or fitness. They’re about community care, nervous system regulation, and giving yourself space to breathe. There is no pressure to perform - only permission to rest, release, and reconnect.

We're starting small, by design.
Because we know how burnout builds.
Because we’ve felt how even one quiet hour can soften a week’s worth of weight.
Fill your cup - so you can keep showing up.

As our capacity expands, so will our offerings.
For now, we meet you where you are - on the mat, in community, one breath at a time.

Our classes are free and open to the community. We gratefully accept voluntary donations to support Reciprocity Collective’s mission of bringing rest, movement, and healing to healthcare workers and the community. Suggested donation: $10–$15. Donations are optional and fully tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
